Dota just like a CS, is a team game. If have somebdy think this can be 1 man show.
Then definitely he play with a newbie or he also is a brainless players. This game only will interest while playing in a fair game & both team have a good teamwork.
Out of this 2 point, Dota just waste time if cont play in unfair position. Some of the private server have a lot of lcly dota players, always said ppl is a noob.

For my opinion. U don know to micro ur melee hero.
Try gettin use wif range hero. Is cool hero also. But still u wan to learn to use melee hero. Try hit n run strategy. Dh come back n forward assulting enemy hero n army. Geeting bear is cool.
Try healing dh while in battle. Genx scanner 600 dpi driver. The result is, dh = unstoppable hero killer. IMHO, NE is good and now is played by moon who is absolutely god in wc3, thats why ppl tends to treat NE as the best race. However, i still think it is a balanced game still:/. I nv play much melee anymore. Just my 2 cents.
I started playing melee as human, cause the naming convention is easier for me to remember, like footman,rifleman & knight. You got the idea of how they look like and work, u seen too much of movies with them around.
That actually helps me in knowing the game, then do comparison with other races and use the race that you prefers Sorry for the long post. No, human can mass gryphon before you mass your hipograph. Their gryphon is weak against ur tier 1 archer Mass some of your archer, make control unit and aim the birds when you spot them!!
By the way, I really can't stop laughing seeing the statement post by TeckPeow. Massing huntress is good, what if others have at least 5 air unit?
They can straight sapu ur whole huntress. Melee usually play as team is better.

U should beware of serry. Actually our wc3 scene is not bad, just look at the asian dota competition recently, we got 2nd place without no sponsors, no nothing, china on the other which got 1st had we.Sky, yes im talking about the human sky who won wcg twice, they were fully sponsored hence the world elite clan where the gather the best players around the asian region,they had all the necessities unlike us, if our connection wasnt so bad i think we could have ended up with very competitive players for melee type of games, its just that the lag is so bad and theres no sponsorship thus no exposure. Want to tower rush? Depends on the map, for turtle rock its good equip with naga as the 2nd hero, other bigger map is pretty hard and you need to be consistent. Very risky wei.

Hi,i just started playing melee a month ago since i registered for wgt(for fun,its free anyway) n im not active in training it(hard to find game) im wondering picking orc as my race as a starter hav any future or not =s am hoping not to get knock out in my 1st round =s i lost most of my game on n off record. My ladder record is 16 loss n 4 win in ggc =s most of the time i win early few battle but usually too wounded to invade their base then drag the game till late stage i'll lose =( n yes i downloaded replays from war3.replays.net as i had been advised by scrubbie n some other friends. But is there any other tips that any1 could share =p? Im not a good player but, u choose your race depending on your playstyle i dont think theres a real 'starter race' from what i observe. If games are dragged into late game, you should have an expansion.
But orc's expansion takes damn long to build always equip your heros with nice items like invul potion & healing scroll. Im not a good player but, u choose your race depending on your playstyle i dont think theres a real 'starter race' from what i observe. If games are dragged into late game, you should have an expansion. But orc's expansion takes damn long to build always equip your heros with nice items like invul potion & healing scroll.
