Download and open the zip file to extract the lameenc.dll file ( or may be needed to extract the file if you are not using Windows ME or XP/Vista). Although every effort has been made to ensure GoldWave runs properly, some combinations of sound/video drivers and hardware are unstable. Make sure all the latest Windows Updates are installed on your system. On some systems, using different read techniques in the CD audio extraction tool may freeze the system. In most cases only the MMC technique should be used. LAMEENC.DLL version 3.88 creates bad mono MP3 files. Use v3.92 or later (link above).
